Tata Tiago EV Launching Soon
Tata is planning to launch its new Tata Tiago EV in the Indian market soon, this EV may be India’s cheapest and most affordable EV in the segment. The new Tata Tiago EV comes under the hatchback segment, which is likely to be launched after a few months.
In India, Tata currently sells Xpres-T EV, Tata Tigor EV, Tata Nexon EV Prime and Tata Nexon EV MAX and now Tata wants to reduce the price of its entry-level EV for which they want to launch Tiago Ev soon so that they can bring the most affordable EV in India. Currently, the cheapest EV from Tata is the Xpres-T EV which was launched by Tata in July 2021.
This upcoming EV will use the same components used in the Tata X-Press T EV and Tata Tigor EV. Tiago EV is based on Ziptron architecture which may produce 75 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. It was packed with a 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack which get a range of around 306 km.
The price of a Tata Tiago can be around Rs 10 lakhs to 12 lakhs. When we see the Tata Tigor EV, it comes with two split battery packs and one part stays in the boot which reduces the boot space, So it will be interesting to see how much boot space the Tiago will have and what Tata Motors engineers do for it.
